[The Wismar Family]

Description: Photograph of the Wismar family. The family pictured includes Mr. F. L. Wismar, Mrs. Sophia S. Wismar, Fred Wismar Jr, and young girls Edna and Anna Wismar. The adult Wismars are positioned sitting down with young Anna on Mr. Wismar's lap. Edna and Fred Jr. are positioned standing up in between their parents. Forbis Family Portrait

Description: Copy photograph of a portrait of the Forbus family. Luther and Nannie Forbus stand behind their two youngest children Mary Frances Forbis and Orval John Forbis, who stand and sit on stools. The children, a toddler and a baby, wear white dresses. Nannie Forbus also wears a white dress with a flower pinned to the front. Luther Forbus wears a three-piece suit. Behind them is a painted backdrop of curtains. Below the photograph is a typed note that says, "Luther & Nannie Forbus and daughters."

Vehicle-Wheel.

Description: Patent for a strong, durable, and inexpensive vehicle-wheel in children's carriages with a double-felly wheel meant to broaden "the tread thereof sufficiently to prevent the wheels falling into cracks between boards of board walks, such as are common in the suburbs or rural districts" (lines 15-19). The spokes are like that of a single-felly wheel.

[First Section House in Germania]

Description: Photograph of the first section house built in Germania, Midland County, for Texas and Pacific railway workers. The section house sits behind the railway, and is a narrow two-story wooden frame building with a gable roof and a picket fence next to the railway. Workers stand on the railway, a handcar on the rails, a child playing with a shovel next to the rails, and several women standing behind, nearer to the picket fence.
