Description: General directory for Galveston, Texas includes address listings for businesses and individuals as well as advertisements from local businesses. According to the title page, it contains "a brief history of the island, prior to the foundation of the city. The successive mayoralties and councils of the city to the present time - provisions of the present charter and ordinances now in force. Also, some account of the various public institutions, improvements, commerce, &c., of the city."
