Description: Video recording from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters recorded during a tape broadcast for the WFFA program "Black Forum" on June 12th, 1980. The footage shows famous choral director Doctor Eva Jessye being interviewed by a black male journalist on a television news recording set. Jessye was the first black woman to receive international distinction as a professional choral conductor. She is notable as a choral conductor during the Harlem Renaissance.
