Description: Letter from a member of Organizations United for Eastside Development (OUED) to Assistant District Attorney Roy Barrera. As prosecutor in the trail of Webb Eugene Boyd, Mr. Barrera was responsible for charging two police officers with the voluntary manslaughter of Mr. Boyd. OUED is writing to congratulate the attorney's work, which they see as a stepping stone in relieving racist relations in San Antonio.

Description: Letter from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to Mario Marcel Salas, president of the Black Coalition on Mass Media (BCMM). Only one page of their correspondence has been provided, however. From what remains available, it appears that the FCC was trying to distance itself from a disagreement that occurred between the BCMM and KAPE radio, in which the latter accused BCMM of "personal attacks."

He writes to complain to the television station about a Bugs Bunny cartoon that was aired in which various racial slurs were used towards Japanese people. He hopes the airing was a mistake and an oversight on the part of the television station.
