Description: This much-battered picture has obviously been pinned to a cork-board in order for it to be made into a photograph. Enough of the legend at its bottom survives to proclaim that the picture commemorates the attendance of the Drum and Bugle Corps of Mineral Wells' Farris Anderson Post No. 75, at a national convention of the the American Legion, in Chicago, Illinois, on October 2-5, 1933. Description: Postcard from E. Lucas to Lucy Dodge, discussing the safety of a boxy Lucy sent her, her own illness, and the city of Boerne, Texas. The postcard features a photograph, colored in with ink, of a driveway along the side of a tall sloping hill and the surrounding area. Further down the winding dirt drive, there is a suspension bridge across the road. The environment has lots of scrub brush and small, bushy trees.
