Description: Letter from William L. Gatz to Daniel W. Kempner discussing being called for Jury duty for the spring term of the Green County Circuit Court. He talks about being dismissed in the past due to cotton operations, but as cotton will be out of season, he cannot get out of this call. He informs Mr. Kempner that he will still be available after 5'oclock in the afternoon most days even if he is called in to serve on a jury.

He then starts to discuss his concerns with how much cotton had been planted this year and other company operations. He then says he will not be driving home, instead having arranged transportation.

Mr. Bertig says the weather has been great for the cotton crop, but everyone is afraid if bugs and weevils.
