Fan

Description: Folding fan of cockade type. Red metal handle embossed with birds and flowering vines. The pleated paper fans forms a full circle. One side printed with a scene of a long-tailed bird (Phoenix?) sitting amid flowering branches with gold background. Reverse is printed with a scene of two birds flying over flowering branches. Marked in metal of handle: "Midget Fan / No. 104" and "Made in Hong Kong".

Description: Wide sash of red-brown, ivory, and indigo blue cotton. Backstrap loomed cotton warp faced plain weave with warp ikat design with diamonds in the center and linear, repeating pattern on either side. Hand twisted and knotted fringe. Approx 11" wide.

Necklace

Description: Necklace of silver beads and pendant cowrie shells. Formed as a plaque or panel suspended from black yarn, the necklace consists of rows of small silver beads terminating in larger reeded beads, from which hang cowrie shells enhanced with silver beads and smaller silver bead pendants.
