Release of Oil and Gas Lease

Description: Release document of an oil and gas lease between the Roxana Petroleum Corporation and Carl Harton and his wife Christiane Harton. The document states that the petroleum company is relinquishing 70 acres of property in Wharton County, along with all rights, to the Hartons. Description: Photograph of a young boy and man in a car with the top down. According to accompanying information and a hand-written notation on the back of the photograph, they are at Danevang Filling Station. Additionally, the names Babe Hansen and Michael Brodsgaard have also been supplied. Babe is the man in the driver's side seat and Michael is the young boy climbing the car from the back door. They both wear plaid shirts and light-colored pants.

Description: Patent for casing point or strainer "particularly adapted for use in oil and Artesian wells... which will permit free circulation of the liquid around the lower portion of the casing and free and easy entrance of the same into the casing, and yet will prevent entrance of sand and gravel into the casing" (Lines 12-22).
