Description: Letter from I. H. Kempner to Chauncey D. Leake referring to a news clipping about a state grant of $500,000 to the city of Houston for a tuberculosis hospital. He asks Dr. Leake if there is any possibility of Galveston receiving a similar grant for a tuberculosis hospital, given a $250,000 donation from Mrs. Rosa Ziegler. He proposes that the Medical Branch could be designated as a state hospital while still recognizing Mrs. Ziegler's contribution by naming a wing after her.
