[Float in a Holiday Parade]

Description: Photograph of a Southwestern-themed float in the first annual League City Holiday Festival of Lights parade. The float decor includes a cactus stringed in Christmas lights, leafy garland, and a red banner that reads, "Ross Elementary." Amongst the float passengers are two individuals dressed as a cowboy and one individual dressed as Santa Claus. The parade procession is traveling down Farm to Market Road 518 and Highway 3 until culminating in Walter Hall Park.

Description: Letter from L. R. Johnson to I. H. Kempner inviting Kempner to the Cowboy Club Convention and explaining the primary issue which was Johnson wanting to reach out to the men at the King Ranch to see if they would host a barbeque, or agree to some other terms for the convention. Johnson enlists Kempner's help for this, as he feels as if he doesn't know the ranch owners well enough to ask for such a favor.
