Description: Sgt. George V. Huffmon, a nurse in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, is pictured in front of the Memorial to the Eight Medicine Students in Old Havana, Cuba. This photo is a much clearer duplicate of another which appears on a picture postcard addressed to a Miss Hallie Thurmon of Denton, Texas. Sgt. Huffmon was stationed in Cuba during the Second Occupation of Cuba which lasted from Sept. of 1906 to Feb. of 1909.

Description: Interview with Roy Allen, an Army Air Corps WWII veteran and POW from Denton, Texas. Allen served during the invasion of the Philippines in December 1941, after which he fought with Filipino guerrillas until his capture by Japanese forces in mid-1942. He was interned at the Del Monte Plantation, Mindanao, and later at Yokkaichi, Japan.
