Henry Selz Cotton Gin

Description: The Selz Cotton Gin with seven unidentified men. A water tower is rising up in the background and trees flank the image on both sides. Henry Selz came to Denton County around 1870 and built the first cotton gin in Pilot Point, just east of the square. It burned and was rebuilt in 1882 north of the square by Selz and his new partner, J.P. Cooper.
