Script from the WBAP-TV/NBC station in Fort Worth, Texas, covering a news story about Richard Johnson and Ken Hurd, the winners of a 45 mile canoe race trip down the Trinity River. Hurd and Johnson finished the race in 5 hours and 45 minutes, a new record. Joe Whitley and Dexter Prince winning the boating portion of the race.
