Description: The National Museum of the pacific War presents an interview with John Stayer. Stayer joined the Army in August 1944 and had basic training at Camp Hood. After training, he shipped out to France and joined the 4th Armored Division in Luxembourg in December. After two week, Stayer was severely wounded by mortar fire and evacuated. Description: The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Oris Brehmer. Brehmer was born in Luckenbach, Texas in 1924. Drafted in March, 1943 with a choice of services, he chose the Navy. He went through boot camp and Corpsman School in San Diego, then to Marine Field Medical School.
