Description: A letter written to Dr. R. G. Lee, President, Southern Baptist Convention, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, from T. N. Carswell dated May 18, 1949. Carswell criticizes the Buchanan report; "My concordance and I are unable to find in the New Testament any authority for the setting up of a Baptist oligarchy"; he advises that the report "be permanently stored in a polar cache" which is comparable to the atmosphere "in Southern Baptistdom" that would be created if the proposal was adopted.

Description: City ordinance granting the Abilene & Southern Railway Company right of ways over property owned by the City of Abilene and granting the company the right to build and operate a railroad on property belonging to the City of Abilene, Texas. The ordinance details the specific locations the railway company has rights to, and the rights of the city to regulate the railroad.
