[Letter from John J. Herrera to the editor of Viewpoints, Houston Chronicle - 1973-08-16]

Description: Onionskin paper carbon copy of letter from John J. Herrera to the Houston Chronicle in response to Marta Daumos' letter published on August 9th criticizing the use of the word "Chicano." Herrera explains that this word, once part of the Mexican American slang, has now become an American language idiom.
