Description: History Thesis by Carleen Pirtle about glass bottles, written in januyary 1971. The paper gives a brief history of different types of glass bottles: whiskeys, bitters, medicines, house-holds, and drink bottles - beer, wine, soda water. It discusses why these bottles are so interesting and how some of them were made. It also has six pages of hand-drawn examples of bottles. Note cards are included at the end that may have been used to describe specific bottles.
