Organized by the Chamber of Commerce to highlight the fruit and vegetables grown in the Rio Grande Valley, area citizens created and modeled clothing made from local fruit, vegetables, and flowers. Frances is wearing a gown with bustle effect composed of grapefruit seed. The nosegay was made of membrane giving the effect of orange blossoms. Costume weighed 60 lbs. Representing the Rio Grande Valley Citrus Exchange Employees.
