Description: Interview with James Stroud, who was an employee of the Dallas Cotton Exchange and Home Owners Loan Corporation, from Dallas, Texas. Stroud recounts his experience during the Great Depression and New Deal era in the DFW area, including his father's meat processing business, the beginnings of HOLC in Dallas, the kind's of people they assisted, the terms for HOLC loans, government finance, and his opinions of Franklin Roosevelt.
