Photograph of Sallie Ann Clarke Parker, the daughter of Joseph C. Clarke and Harriett L. Julian Clarke. She was born December 3, 1832 in Frankfort, Kentucky. After marrying Robert Henry Parker, she moved her family to McKinney, Texas and then to Abilene, Texas. The Parkers were pioneers of Taylor County and early members of the First Presbyterian Church of Abilene.
