[Andrew J. Jensen's Honorable Discharge from the Army of the United States]

Description: Discharge paper given to Andrew J. Jensen from the Army of the United States. Andrew Jensen Military Promotion

Description: Hand-written and printed document from the United States Army given to Andrew Jensen after a military promotion. At the very top of the document, there is a black and white illustration of an eagle amongst various symbolic elements that make up the particular emblem. It hovers over bold text and is enclosed in a gray cloud-like gray area. The document states that Andrew made the transition to corporal at Camp Travis in Texas. Crease lines can be seen both length-wise and width-wise.

Description: Postcard to Mrs. Louise Carper, 818 Austin St., Houston, Texas from M.S.E. John Carper, Signal Corps. The front of the postcard has a quote that reads, "Don't forget me little girlie no matter where I roam, but think of the day the band will play when Johnnie comes marching home." The handwriting on the back of the card reads, "June-16-18. I'm well and like France very much, but oh, you U.S.A. Jack."

[Camp MacArthur Junkyard]

Description: Photograph of the junkyard at Camp MacArthur. Many trash items are scattered haphazardly in piles and stacks; most prominent at center is a heap of used oil lamps, next to bunches of wooden crates and containers. At left are long rows of pipes and piles of ceramic-like cylinders. Behind these remain further piles of pillows and pipes. A paper attached to the bottom of the photograph describes the junkyard's operation.
