Description: Copy of transcript for surveying contract between Joshua Hadley and Elias R. Wightman, in which both men agree on the extent of the area that Hadley be responsible for surveying. Also agreed upon is the amount that Hadley will be paid per league and per quarter league, as well as, Wightman's responsibilities to plot and transcribe the notes and make reports to the central office.

[Transcript of Letter from Edmund Andrews to James F. Perry, October 26, 1834]

Description: Copy of transcript for a letter from Edmund Andrews to James F. Perry, in which Andrews reports that the bill of lading should be arriving soon and the document will enable Perry will able to recover the financial losses incurred when several items of his merchandise, being shipped on the Empress, were thrown overboard. Andrews also reports that an angry customer broke in to his store, and that his cook was taken away by Mr. Randon.

[Transcript of Letter from William K. Wilson to Samuel M. Williams, April 26, 1835]

Description: Copy of transcript for a letter from Wilson K. Wilson to Samuel M. Williams, in which Wilson proposes that Williams trade his league on the Brazos for four hundred dollars worth of lumber and Wilson's league on Dickinson Bayou. Wilson also requests Williams assistance in preventing his land from being forfeited.
