[Bookmark belonging to Bessie Bruce]

Description: Bookmark with a thread tassel. The bookmark contains a drawing of a dog and the inscription, "I'm good for a trick or two." We assume that the bookmark served double-duty as a placeholder for a table at a social function as it is labeled, "Table No.2, Couple No.2" with the numbers handwritten in. The bookmark belonged Mrs. J. E. Hightower, formerly Bessie Elizabeth Bruce, and was found in her 1910 Denton High School Bronco yearbook.

Description: Pinkish stone engraved with this message: “Dedicated to the -- Pioneers of West Tex. -- By Seniors 27.” The edges of the stone are not smooth, and a piece appears to be missing from the top.
