The words, "To my sister Meddie with my deepest affection--Sam Rayburn" are at the bottom of the photo. Meddie (Medibel Bartley) was one of Sam Rayburn's three sisters. She and her husband, S.E. Bartley lived in Sam Rayburn's home in Bonham beginning in the 1940s.
