Description: Photograph of a small barn. The building is made up of log walls and a plank roof. A typed note on the back of the photograph says, "Original barn built by Judge John Beasley at Beasley Crossing on Colorado River in 1847." Judge John Beasley came to Erath County in 1860 from Stoddard County, Missouri, and later moved to McCulloch County. Beasley was the first County Judge and was on the committee to select Brady as the county seat.
