Postcard of an illustration of an elderly woman with grey hair, wearing a dark grey blouse and grey gingham skirt, sitting on a wood chair on the grass in front of a large stone wall. The woman, who has a long pipe in her mouth and is wearing a large dark bonnet, is knitting with grey yarn and three knitting needles. Printed text at the bottom of the postcard identifies the woman as an occupant of the North Carolina Mountains. The other side of the postcard is blank except for postcard markings.
