The photograph on the back is of a group of children in a rope pulling contest. They are separated by gender, with the boys' team on the left side and the girls' team on the right side. A smaller child appears to be acting as a mediator between the two. They are standing barefoot in an empty lot with short grasses in the background and a broken-down fence in the far distance. The silhouette shadows of a few other people are seen in the foreground. Hand-written text in pencil on the front of the photograph is not easily legible, but part of the text reads, "...to see which is the strongest"
