They sit in a row on rocks and a fallen tree trunk in a rocky outcrop, each dressed nicely and with hats in their laps, except for Dr. J. W. Allen whose hat is on his donkey's head behind them. The photograph is mounted on gray cardstock which has a stamp at the lower left corner reading, "Judson McClure / Mineral Wells Texas,." A very faint inscription on the back reads, "Mrs. C. Emery."
